When the person you love most is violently taken away from you, you set out on a dangerous journey to find out what happened to him, making your life goal to discover the truth. Ever since (Y/n) had inherited her great grandfather's farm in the desolate town of Markwood, she had been living paycheck to paycheck as a farmer. So when she ends up holding an intruder hostage in her home, she's torn between killing him or keeping him alive. He is one more mouth to feed, but letting him go could mean her demise. She always wanted to write letters to strangers. She wanted them to be old fashioned, like those messages in bottles or the ones written with inked quills. The anonymity of it all seemed so delightful, the girl would tell them her stories and they would do the same in return. They'd never meet and hear each other's voices but they'd learn many new things together. It was supposed an innocent idea, leaving a letter on a tree for a stranger to see - so why was he so keen on following her?

You always wanted a way out of town and away from the trauma of your every day life, but who knew it would come to you in a blue mask? Your life was certainly troubled. You had no parents- they were stripped away from you by a faceless thing in the woods one night when you were a small child. You had a troubled friend group. You had a stressful, mind-numbing minimum wage job. You had a broken home, completed by the drunken, careless uncle who had once promised to take care of you and your siblings. It made you want to disappear. The grey man dressed in black was a surprise to you after a chaotic night at home, and it was just his luck you even found him.
