Basically, a typical betrayal story...without a betrayal, so to speak. Basically, Ash's pals think it is time to try something new. His Kalos league run got everyone so excited, only for Ash to lose. They started to wonder if a Master is the right way for him to go. Disappointed that his friends lost their faith, Ash sets of to Alola, hoping to clear his mind. When a brand new League is announced to be opened, Ash takes a chance on this opportunity to finally become a Champion, putting him one step closer to Master. This is going to be separate from canon, with some similarities. This is not going to have Ash catching a bunch of Legendarys, or using the whole ''Aura" thing, It's just good old Ash, on a good old adventure. I will include Meloetta, since it's my personal favorite Mythical Pokemon, and Ash will catch Poipole / Naganadel. I dont think I will include Melmetal in Ash's team, for a reason you'll see further in. But Meloetta wont be caught, it's kind of just along for the ride. :) Team Rocket, our loveable trio of dorks, is still a loveable trio of dorks, they just, aren't part of Rocket anymore. They are now members of Team Cook. Yep, they're cooks now. And maybe also a guest appearance from a fan favorite Ninja Amphibian? Anyways, this is my first story with a main ship, too: Aureliashipping.(Ash x Lillie) It wont be the main focus, but I will include a few moments to hopefully please the crowd. That's about it. Never in his entire life would Ash has ever thought that his 'friends' would lose faith in him. Not Misty. Not Brock. Not May nor Clemont. And definitely not Pikachu. Yet they did. They told him that he wasn't good enough. Not enough to be a trainer. Not good enough to win a league. Not good enough to achieve his dreams. Yet what's worse is that Ash almost believed them.
