Blindness. Numbness. Both are not things that a warrior of ThunderClan should have to worry themselves with. Jayfeather was born with the horrid curse of the former. He never knew sight except for the dreams he shared with StarClan. His life was spent with no color. Briarlight was born with neither curse but adopted the latter of the two when her spine was broken at a young age. She was unable to feel in her rear legs any longer. Over the course of several moons she was placed under the watchless eye of Jayfeather. Unbeknownst to her doctor of sorts, she began to feel a strong bond between them. Likewise, unbeknownst to Briarlight, Jayfeather was fighting a battle with himself to keep to his medicine cat bond with StarClan. But he was starting to feel a stronger priority. His lame, cheery, beautiful patient.

Briarlight has been in the medicine den for 5 moons now, and she's taken a liking to the medicine cat, Jayfeather. She wished to be with the blind tom, but knew she could never be the medicine cat.

Jayfeather used to think of Half Moon as his only love... And then he begin to realise, was there someone else? Jayfeather has to choose. Half Moon... Or Briarlight? ~ Characters in this book do NOT belong to me. This fanfiction is based on the series Warriors, written by Erin Hunter. ~ This book, compared to Firestar & Sandstorm/Spottedleaf, speaks more of Jayfeather's feelings and what made him choose the she-cat. As the books in the original series never really mentioned anything between Briarlight and Jayfeather, this fanfiction doesn't have a firm base to write on compared to Firestar & Sandstorm/Spottedleaf, and therefore this book is slightly toned down a bit. It's more focused on emotions and feelings, but will also have its own fair share of drama. Welcome :)

Depuis des lunes, les clans souffrent d'une maladie mortelle et inconnue des guérisseurs.
