What if Ross and Rachel hadn't been caught in the hallway on Monica and Chandler's engagement night?

Rachel is sad at the fact that Monica and Chandler are engaged. So she turns to a friend -or an ex- for comfort. He finds her in his arms and wouldn't have it any other way... But here's the catch. I'm order for them to hide unresolved feelings they decide to have a "Friends with benefits" kind of relationship. ⚠️ Warning ⚠️ Mature themes throughout pretty much every chapter.

By the way, for those who don't know, this is an R&R story with a little Mondler in the background (sorry Mondler fans!). I also want to mention that this is a semi-fluff story, meaning its very light and simple with some drama working in the back. It will become far more dramatic in later chapters but for now, it'll feel very much like a fluff story. Warning: This story deals with the mature topic of 'friends with benefits', therefore there will be semi-explicit chapters. Younger reader's discretion is advised. I've rambled on enough. This takes place one year after Rachel got off the plane. This is what we all deserved to see! :) This was the first fic I ever wrote. It's not my best. Maybe I'll redo it someday.

Alternate ending to season 4: TOW Ross and Emily's Wedding. Ross didn't say the wrong name in the ceremony...but did he say the right name?? Don't assume you know how this will turn out! It's different than many London fics. Remember, it's 1998. The song I reference is Sheryl Crow's "My Biggest Mistake", which was a hit at the time. I swear if you listen to it as you read the section, you'll feel Rachel's feelings in that moment. That song is very 'Rachel'. I really tried to capture the thought processes of 'Season 4 Rachel'. She matured a great deal in the next six years, but I wanted to depict her where she was in that moment. I hope you enjoy! Please review! :)
