TRIGGER WARNINGS - suicide attempts and consideration, self harm and depression. Izuku is being abused by his father. His mother left him and ended up dying. Izuku at the age of nine tries to commit suicide, but is saved by Aizawa. Aizawa decides that he will help this kid become a hero, quirk or not. Along the way, he does his best to show Izuku that he's loved. Tons of Dadzawa, eventual TodoDeku and sad Izu! Quirks. Superpowers that most anyone holds nowadays. Quirks can range from anything from running a millisecond faster to the strength to change the weather with just one punch from the wind pressure it generates. Quirks are everything. Quirks define who you are. Every child is elated to discover their quirk and find out who they truly are. This happens around the ripe age of four years old. Some are natural-born heroes. Others are perfect for other occupations such as baking or being an artist. With such a high hope for the future that a quirk brings, one would think they would be happy to discover theirs and reveal just how useful they can be. But... What happens when your quirk dictates you as nothing more than a doll to be used by others? Izuku Midoriya found out four-years-old that not all people are created equally. He found out when he drew the short end of the stick of luck and ended up with a quirk worse than quirklessness. He's dealt with it long enough. Now it's time for Izuku to take hold of his own strings and stop letting others control his life. He won't be a doll forever. (I am bringing this one over from Ao3 where I originally posted it.) All Might tell Midoriya he can't be a hero when he's quirkless. Does that stop the green bean? Nope. Finding an abandoned toddler in an alleyway wasn't on his to do list though. But no one cared enough to care if he adopted the kid or not. And if anyone thought something small like a villainous quirk was enough to put Midoriya off, then they were very, very wrong. The story of Izuku Midoriya, a boy without a quirk having to face off between being a villain or hero. Could the dead of his mother be the reason he wanted to become a villain instead, or was it because of something else?

What if Deku stayed longer on the roof? What if he never saved Bakugo? What if he decides to become a inventor instead but gets thrown into vigilantism in the process? Izuku is a fourteen year old boy with no plans for the future now that his dream has finally been crushed, but when a selfish chance to live at least a shadow of his childhood dream comes, he can't really find it in himself to turn it away. Falling into vigilantism could be the best or worse design of his life, that is if he decides to live long enough to find out.

Everything he loved, became everything he lost. Izuku Midoriya learned just how precious life truly was at a young age. He decides to take matters into his own hands by making sure his mother's death wasn't in vain. he's left to become a vigilante. or story where izuku's mom dies in a car crash and izuku is left blind and sick. He decides that if he cant be a hero, he'll be a vigilante This is the story of how Izuku became the greatest hero this world has ever known. It doesn't have to be legal though.
