The Madrigal family isn't the only gifted ones in the Encanto. They're just the loved ones. Y/n is part of the L/N family, who mirrors La Casa Madrigal. Except her family isn't the sparkling, praised gods the Madrigals are. The L/n family serves a far worse, yet important purpose for the Encanto. The two families are rivals, but when Y/n meets a certain shapeshifter, the walls all come crashing down. Figuratively? Or literally..

Y/N has always been small and timid, except not by choice. Words were hard to both express and understand for the girl. Her first being from when she was the age of 10. This of course worried her parents, and brought them to search for a miracle, which in turn led them to the one and only madrigals.

Y/N has been raised in Encanto on the family farm for her whole life with her Papa and older brother, Jude. Her mother disappeared for quite obvious reasons when she was 7, leaving her Papa angrier than ever. Although Jude is there to protect her most of the time, she know that he might not be one day. And then she meets the town shapeshifter - Camilo. He changes everything. TW ‼️ There will be themes of abuse used throughout the story, so if you aren't comfortable with that, I would encourage you not to read it. I will try to put a TW over any scenes that contain abuse in action. This is the reason I made this book mature, not because I will be including any smut scenes.

Camilo Madrigal. His nerve. His self-obsessed smirk. You wanted nothing to do with him after what he did. But maybe there's something beneath that smug façade. Maybe he'll let you see it. And maybe there are secrets about your "ordinary" Encanto family that even you don't know yet.
