It's molting season, which means it's time to drop all those broken and bent feathers that have been stuck on Tokoyami's head since the last molt. Really sucks that it happens only twice a year because boy is it annoying having itchy broken feathers 24/7. How does Hawks keep his wings so nice all the time, surely some of his feathers break during battle? Or: Hawks realizes just how badly the foster system has failed Tokoyami, poor kid doesn't been know how to preen!
