The story follows the main character Elizabeth Bennet as she deals with issues of manners, upbringing, morality, education, and marriage in the society of the landed gentry of early 19th-century England. Elizabeth is the second of five daughters of a country gentleman living near the fictional town of Meryton in Hertfordshire, near London.

Aria Lane is your typical shy girl next door; she always completes her homework on time and almost never receives a F on her report card. But what she considers to be a F in her life is her type 1 diabetes. Even though she has been diagnosed with it, she still struggles to keep it under control.
