Draco Malfoy came walking in; the first thing Harry noticed was that he had an undercut and, his hair was a bit longer than the last time they saw him. His hair was pushed back with it tied in the back. He was wearing a black suit that hugged him tightly. His pale complexion glowed under the fire of the candlelight. Draco starts his first year of Hogwarts as an orphan. his parents fled the country, leaving him on the doorstep of an orphanage. They would have taken him along, but he was just a burden to them. You see, Draco was deaf. No one bothered to get to know the poor boy, it was too troublesome to learn sign language. That is, until one Harry Potter offers to sit by him on the train in fifth year. Learning that the boy cannot hear, they write notes the rest of the trip. Harry soon becomes determined to be the boy's best friend.

After the war, Harry Potter becomes a talented Senior Auror with a penchant for injury in defense of his colleagues. Draco Malfoy leaves the country for five years and becomes an accomplished Specialty Healer. He comes back after he accepts a job at St. Mungo's Hospital. When they meet again, it's clear that Draco has changed significantly in the years since they attended Hogwarts together, and Harry finds himself strangely attracted to his former rival.
