This is a sequel to Two Kirks and a Vulcan. Spock and Alex are back from their honeymoon, and are faced with different challenges and adventures of their own on the Enterprise. (I'm working on a better title, but it will be this for now.)

There are many ailments, viruses, and diseases from space and alien worlds that one can contract aboard the Starship Enterprise. The medical bay has seen almost all of them. But Doctor McCoy has never had to deal with a certain disease one of his nurses is inflicted with. One cure is dangerous and leaves the patient with more losses than gains; the other is so highly unlikely it is deemed impossible. From the time she was little, Maggie knew she wanted to explore, to be among the stars. She had a restless soul that could not stay rooted to one spot. When she was 11 a soul mark appeared on her wrist, but that did not stop her from perusing her dream of being an engineer and eventually joining the flagship Enterprise.

Spock's eight and it is his time to be betrothed, but his mind refuses to be bonded as he already has a T'hy'la. Light years away, Jim Kirk suffers from chronic headaches.
