Anyone who has looked into Giyuu Tomioka's eyes have felt the feeling, of a dull pencil. Nobody wants to use the dull pencil. To him, relationships are like light bulbs, turned on as easy as a blink of an eye. But eventually the bulb dies and there is no more light. The Hashira want to discover more about the mysterious water pillar, more feeling pity, of the guy with the soulless eyes. Who will be the one to replace the light bulb, or even, turn his back on?

Obnoxious people make horrible first impressions. Yet, they further prove themselves later in life. Would Tomioka understand Shinazugawa Sanemi's rude welcoming as the new wind hashira? Shinazugawa's a polar opposite. Yet, wishes to form a bond to understand him. He won't be bothered by his grumpy personality for long.
