This is a story about Karai and the aftermath of the city at war episode. After Tigerclaw said that nobody would mourn her when she was gone...Karai took those words to heart and wondered if what Tigerclaw said was true. She started to feel really depressed and began cutting herself. Will Splinter and her friends care enough to help her or will they just leave her to die?

Splinter senses something amiss in New York City. His disciples and sons, Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo, have grown apart since their last adventure. Another disciple of his, Okumura Nari, has returned to New York after a year away in Japan. The five of them must somehow renew and strengthen their bond if they are to have any hope of defeating an evil industrialist's army of ancient monsters with the help of their allies.

Spawned from a lab experiment gone awry, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael live in the sewers beneath New York, going up to the surface ever now and then against their sensei Splinter's wishes. However, a kingpin named Shredder terrorizes the city along with his Foot soldiers. An teenage girl who wants to be a journalist, April O'Neil, and her mentor, Vern, team up with them along with a mysterious mercenary/kunoichi named Okumura Nari. Two years later, Shredder escapes from custody and joins forces with Baxter Stockman, a mad scientist who plans to use a serum to take over the world. Along for the ride are Bebop and Rocksteady, two dimwitted henchmen who provide plenty of muscle and the notorious Kraang. Luckily, three more allies join the team, Casey Jones, a cop and vigilante, Maya Jackson, Jones' apprentice, and Seraphina Anderson, their bubbly informant.
