this story takes place during and after the movie. I need to bring the world I created for myself to life so I can stop thinking about certain scenes in it over and over, so that's what I'm doing, in the form of an x reader fanfic! I own absolutely nothing from rottmnt, that's all Nickelodeon's. SPOILER WARNING ⚠️⚠️ TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️⚠️ major angst, mentions of death, possibly other stuff, and obvious spoilers if you haven't watched the movie. the main premise of y/n is that they (I'm making this story gender neutral) are from the future like Casey, but an accident happened and they were sent to the past, specifically two years before the movie takes place. like how Casey works under Leo in the future, they worked under Mikey, hence the accident that sent them back in time. it would mean a lot if you read my story, though it's imperative that the two authors notes must be read, at least the first one. criticism and feedback is definitely asked for as long as it's not hateful! hope you enjoy :) ALSO!!! CREDIT FOR THE AMAZING COVER ART GOES TO THE AMAZING @ShawnDZ, I FRICKIN LOVE IT AND I APPRECIATE YOU DO VERY MUCHHHH💜💜💜

'Love. Donnie couldn't help but ponder what that word really meant in this circumstance. You were not exclusively his, nor vice versa, so what did 'I love you' truly mean in this position? He thought about how distant the true meaning of 'love' had drifted from the word itself in his own mind; he'd heard the word so many times that it had nearly lost its meaning. Almost as if it undermined the true severity of what it implied. The word was strong and important, but not sacred. At least not within his family. DId that make his feelings significant anymore? What would it mean to love someone, to truly love someone, if the word lost all meaning?'
