Danny had faced his parents. He had told them everything. He was happy when they accepted him, for three months his family lived in peace knowing Danny's other half. Then in a cruel twist of fate, Danny's parents accidentally blew up the portal. It was off at the time. His parents had only stepped out of the lab for a second. Danny came back home to a raging fire. That day Danny became an orphan. His friends tried to support him, but they split ways after Danny graduated at seventeen. And Danny moved far away from his tragic past.

Marinette Dupain-Cheng is done. Done with the lies, done with Hawkmoth, done with her class, done with being forced to react instead of taking action- enough is enough. Marinette rededicates herself, focusing on her duties as Guardian, Ladybug, and a student, working hard to tie up loose ends. When Ladybug defeats Hawkmoth, she feels the weight of the world lift off her shoulders. Free to leave Paris and her class behind, applies to a new school. Her parents hugged her when they got the call. The Dupain-Cheng's waste no time, they pack their bags, lease the bakery, and move to Gotham, New Jersey. There, Marinette gets a fresh start in a new school. Marinette can be who she wants to be without worrying about lying bullies... But it wouldn't hurt to be careful- would it? The Parisian holds everyone at arm's length, not worrying about swaggering, haughty classmates as she focuses on keeping her head down- until she meets Damian Wayne. Damian Wayne is not jealous of the smart, likable, reserved- but still excitable Parisian that he shares almost every class with. He isn't. He refuses to deal with such a naïve and substanceless girl- until she corrects him in class. Damian gets payback, correcting her as he sees fit. He refuses to lose to such an unworthy opponent. She will not win. Marinette is more than prepared to stand her ground.

After coming back to life. He goes into hiding seeing how little Bruce cares about him. Tim feels neglected and joins Jason. Dick gets married and moves out avoiding his adoptive farther. What if Marinette was Bruce's biological daughter. What if she came back to her broken family and makes it her mission to fix it.

The sweet irony almost makes Marinette laugh. And to think that the little Parisian had to leave the city of love and reach the city of crime to find true love. Damian, on the other hand, didn't know who to blame. He only knew that he had fallen before the spell of that pair of blue eyes that did not come out of his mind, bringing light to the darkest city in America. Marinette is, despite being hurt, a kind heroine whose soul is as pure as an angel. Damien is generally sullen with everyone. A vigilante who learned what human relationships mean a little late. As fierce as a demon. None of them knows exactly how, but they find their other half in the least likely person. Fate, chance or ...?

Marinette struggles to stay happy nowadays, but what better way to change your mood than with a change of location? Adrien gave up his miraculous so he could start fresh. After all, his dad was in prison for being the super villain Hawkmoth and his other caretaker Nathalie died from over use of a broken Miraculous. So, now Marinette is the guardian of the miraculous. Will her bullies lies get exposed? Will she find love in the most dangerous city in the world? Will she find out the identities of Gotham's heroes? Yes, probably, but its all about the ride and not the destination. This is mostly a salt and fluff fic.

Ok, so I'm not a fan of Batman and his fam but Daminette managed to change my mind. Since I don't watch anything with Batman and the cartoon like the titans and all that, this story will only be about Batman and his robins and batgirl and of course immortal Alfred. Marinette is as you know is the guardian so I'll leave her to that. The last Daminette fanfics I've read had Alya turned against Marinette and I really didn't like that so I won't do that in my story. And best part, Lila won't be in this story so yippee.
