A group of students are trapped in a school by mysterious vines, with only one instruction. "Kill the imposter, and you will be set free." A psychological thriller Inspired by Stranger Things, Death Note, Among Us, and the 100. Excerpt: There's a part of the vines that's moving. Convulsing, in and out, like a heartbeat. "Sunny, get behind me," I say, nearly choking on my own words. She does as I say, but Velinda steps closer. "I think someone's trying to get through." She goes up to the vines. "Velinda, don't--!" When she pulls them apart, an opening is revealed, and something bursts through. It lands on two feet, nearly losing its balance. Yellow eyes set on us as it raises its scale-covered head, bares its razor-sharp teeth, and lets out a deafening shriek. It's a velociraptor. A no-bullshit, right out of the museum, velociraptor. Except--I'm pretty sure velociraptors are supposed to be small, but this one is roughly the size of a horse, with big meaty legs and scrawny arms. And it has feathers going down the back of its neck. It spots Velinda cowering next to it. She tries to get away, but it chomps down on her leg and pulls her toward the hole in the vines. I dash forward and kick its lowered head, forcing it to let go of her. After it regains its balance, its jaws open to reveal a thin tongue as it shrieks in my face. "Ava!" Sunny screams, and yanks me out of the library. The monster chases after, charging at us with ferocious speed. We can't lead it back to the cafeteria; we'll have to-- "In here," I say, pulling Sunny into the computer room as an idea strikes me.
