What if Harumi did not die and was instead incarcerated for her crimes? In a cold cell at the city penitentiary, Lloyd Garmadon's caring nature and past desire finds him questioning the beautiful personification of evil that pulls him there. Disjointed from his team Lloyd finds solace in the city at night. From the rooftops he watches life as it should be and struggles to come to terms with his past, the family he has battled and a love he can't let go off. Pushed to do the unthinkable, he sets in motion a journey into his own heart of darkness while from the shadows a new threat to Ninjago distracts his team from coming to his aid. Written after Season 8, so the events of season 9 are not taken into account. There's Jaya; a mini OT3 moment (just for fun), Cole and Nya are buddies, Pixane, Kai is super fiery, I love him; Cole & Zane on a mission, new baddies, new goodies, Zane's Falcon, twists and turns, star-crossed lovers & kissing... of course.

All around him are familiar faces but he recognizes none of them. He found it kinda funny but also kinda sad, the dreams in which he's dying were the best he ever had. Lloyd grew up with hatred in his heart; hatred for the place he swore to protect. This hatred had been sitting too long and now all of Ninjago was going to feel the wrath of the Green Ninja.
