The Nonad were a small coven consisting of some of the most brilliant witches of their generation. Each of them as individuals had unrecognised potential that may have remained unknown if fate had not woven their paths together and saw them soaring to a power none had seen for generations. With shared hunger for knowledge and learning, they ascended to unrivalled heights that inflated egos, fed ambitions, and drove them to questionable lengths to mark their names in history.
They might have changed the world.
However, others of their kind saw that the Nonad's idealised end didn't justify their means. The scale of morality was too heavily weighed with their wrongs and, so, their fall was seen to quicker than they had risen. Everything they had known and had unravelled apart from the seams, the threads that bound them were pulled and stretched too tightly, almost irreparably tearing them apart.
Four years later, Scarlett Wildes is living a carefully constructed lie. She left the Nonad and made herself disappear from the world she had been a part of, adamant that she no longer wants anything to do with magic.
Until she is dragged back into the world she left behind by an an ancient power that is need of a witch of her caliber. She knows she will be forced to finally face the consequences of past actions and the trauma of what ripped all that she had known apart.
