Olive has always had a crush on Enoch. All the peculiars knew it too. Except for Enoch. He just thought of them as close friends. The one time Olive actually believes she has a chance with Enoch her heart is broken because a new peculiar who is visiting happens to have taken a liking for Mr. O' Connor.
