After Nightmare lost the war against his brother and the star sanses, he isn't allowed to leave Dreamtale anymore. As Dream has an important mission with the star sanses he sentences Killer to babysit his ex-boss Nightmare. Things turn out quite weird between Nightmare and Killer while the ex-group of "evil sanses" try to find a way to bring their group back to great power. Nightmare has grown weary of the constant strife between himself and his brother. Every time he manages to fuel the ever-persistent need for negativity in his system, Dream and his friends immediately sap it out of him. So, Nightmare has decided he was done. If they believed the multiverse was better without negativity, he was okay with that. He'd well descended past apathy years ago. Nightmare had hit his breaking point, and ate the apples. Powered by their corruption, he was covered in negativity and fed off of the villagers fear before killing them. His brother's voice got through to him before he petrified him though, and Nightmare ran. He soon woke up in an unknown place, a gem embedded into his chest and a battle happening near him. What is a 'monster' like him to do?
