They date for a while until she breaks up with him for loving someone else. Sonic heartbroken, doesn't know who this mysterious person is but hopes for the best for her. While this is happening, the night they dated, he befriended Shadow. He helps him along his breakup. However, Shadow was in love with him from day 1.
