In a world that can be so insane...

"Why didn't you come?" he whispered as he looked at her, revealing every bit of hurt and heartbreak he had carried within himself for years. Indeed, why didn't she? Amaya had always been a fire just a little too hot to tame and the moment John thought he had finally managed to have her all for himself, he had to accept that once again, she had slipped away right through his fingers. When a random encounter brings them back to each other years later, the both of them need to decide whether the feelings of the past are worth taking a risk for.
