De Avila Series #2 Si Maria Segunda De Avila ay masasabing anghel ng kaniyang mga magulang dahil siya'y likas na masunurin, magalang, tahimik, at malapit sa Diyos. Ang mga katangiang ito marahil ang naglagay sa kaniya sa katayuang hindi napapansin ng karamihan. Siya'y hindi nagtataglay ng pambihirang kagandahan, talentong maipagmamalaki, at talinong kayang makipagsabayan sa karamihan tulad ng kaniyang mga kapatid. Pinili niya ang buhay na tahimik sa kabila ng panghuhusga ng lipunan sa mga babaeng tulad niya na maaaring tumandang dalaga.
