Will you travel to BergenTown with me and save everyone?" "What! No!" He pushes up to his feet and crosses his arms over his chest, stone-faced. "Branch?! You can't say no, they're your friends-" "Ah! They're your friends, Juniper! I'm stayin' right here in my bunker, where it is safe." I let out a short, stunned huff. "Oh, that's rich. You're the one guy who knows more about Bergens than anyone. But when we finally need you. You just wanna hide in here forever?!" "Forever?" He chuckles, just barely, struggling to keep up the cold front. "No." Then, without warning, he pulls a lever. The ground beneath us begins to lower, the platform sinking slowly into the floor. "I only have enough supplies down here to last me ten years. Eleven, if I'm willing to store and drink my own sweat. Which I am! You all said I was crazy huh? Well who's crazy now?" My eyes flick back and forth, adjusting to the size of the space we're entering. He leans against the lever, finishing his speech with that same wild tone. "Me. Crazy prepared."

∙𝓗𝓸𝓵𝓲𝓭𝓪𝔂 𝓢𝓹𝓮𝓬𝓲𝓪𝓵 ∙ Once upon a time in a village far away, lived a group called, The Trolls - that celebrated almost every day. The Trolls had holidays up the Wazoo! From 'Bubble-day' to 'New Hairs Eve' (just to name a few.) Enjoying holiday after holiday, they partied without stopping. They celebrated everything! With their new leader, Queen Poppy. The life for the Trolls became a joy, since all their friends' rescue. The rescuers, Princess Juniper and her boyfriend, Branch, beyond the Trolls. But across the way in an old BergenTown, lived a group called the Bergens, whose spirits were down. They had but one holiday, that brought happiness. A tradition of eating Trolls on a day called, Trollstice. But then Juniper and Poppy taught the Bergens - and Branch - how true happiness really feels and that joy was on the inside, all along. So the Bergens got rid of Trollstice and their only holiday was gone.

Trolls - the happiest creatures on the planet earth. Singing, dancing, hugging and minding their own business. Since the Bergens have had a change of heart, their meals haven't been containing Trolls for a long while. But will their peace get disturbed by this mystical letter, which is assigned for Queen Poppy - sent from one Queen to another. A different taste in music. A different kind of Troll, and is there more than one? ~~~ 𝓡𝓮𝓼𝓾𝓶𝓮: Moving towards Branch's side, him still bent over the bat who's noticeably calmer. I catch a glimpse of the creature from across his shoulder. Heads slowly turn in a whole different direction, eyeing a folded piece of parchment. The bat must have lost its grip on it on the way down. With careful steps, Poppy makes her way towards the piece of rolled paper, bending down to pick it up. "to Queen Poppy" she read aloud. Branch straightens back up, arms spread out as he moves to stand in front of me, to increase my safety. A soft, relieved sigh escapes from Poppy. "Don't worry everyone, it's just an invitation." Several breaths is let go of, most of them not even aware that they have been holding them in. Branch's shoulders sinks, but his figure stays guarded. I move my hand into his, to maybe calm his tense nerves further. "Barb, the Queen of Rock, announces her one nation under Rock world tour?" She ends her sentence with a question, before reading further down. "Bring your string to the biggest party the world has ever seen." Poppy finishes. "Queen of Rock?" She questions, more to herself than anyone, lightly tapping the parchment against her open palm.

∙𝓗𝓸𝓵𝓲𝓭𝓪𝔂 𝓢𝓹𝓮𝓬𝓲𝓪𝓵 ∙ 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡: How unlucky can one Troll possibly be? Out of everyone in the whole Village, I had to get Juniper? Normally, I would root to be by Juniper's side, no matter the context. But now, except for this one. It would've been easier if I'd drawn Poppy. I'm still holding a stare of horror down on the yellow strap between my fingers, like it had personally betrayed me. Juniper. Juniper is my gift-receiver. My girlfriend. If I mess this up... if I fail at making her gift special, meaningful, perfect. My eyebrows lift in quiet dread, my throat tightening. What if I can't live up to her expectations? What if this - this one gift, is the thing that makes her realise, that she's too good for me? 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐩𝐞𝐫: I got Branch. I got Branch! My boyfriend! how lucky can a Troll possibly get? The thought alone sends a burst of excitement through me. I can't help myself, I jump up within a squeal, arms moving along with a giddy little dance. But I have to be careful, Branch needs to be completely out of my view, our gazes no longer reaching each other. I want to keep this moment to myself, just for a second longer. But, even though the surge of happiness is jolting through me, by his name being the one upon the strap, my mind can't do anything else, but draw a blank. This is supposed to be easy. He's the Troll who I personally know the best. Better than anyone, less than a few. And yet... It is not easy. Not if I'm expecting for him to become surprised. Not if I want it to be absolutely perfect.

Juniper and Branch. Boyfriend and Girlfriend. They tell each other everything! Or so you would expect. Juniper is certain, there's no more secret hiding between their relationship. But Branch is keeping a large part of his past hidden deep inside himself, which will soon backfire. ~~~ 𝓡𝓮𝓼𝓾𝓶𝓮: "Stop the Wedding!" Someone's yell comes from the far back of the crowd. Gasps ripple through the guests like a shockwave. Bridget and Gristle freezing in front og the alter. Branch's head jerks left, then right, scanning the landscape, along with every head searching for the source of the voice. My attention is drawn upward. I spot a figure. Far up on the cliffs, small against the sky. Or maybe not small, just far away. The figure slides down the end of a rope, closest to him, connected to the cliff above. I nudge Branch with the back of my hand to get his attention, nodding toward the sky. Branch follows my nod, his gaze catching on to the approaching shadow. His landing is rough. Now that he is basically in the middle of the ceremony, his figure is clear. He's a Troll. His blue skin covered in dust, greenish hair sticking out from under a set of goggles. "Sorry. Is this bad timing?" The moment his face is revealed from behind the goggles, Branch gasps. "I'm just trying to find a Troll named-" The blue Troll locks eyes with Branch, and his face lights up. "Ooh! Baby Branch!" "Hey! Stop right there. I'm the Princess of this Village and I order you to tell us who you are and what you want!" The Troll stops his doings as everything goes still again. "Hey... What's up?" The Troll speaks with a sudden uncertainty, realising a little too late how incredibly bad his timing is. "You're right, Princess - totally rude of me - didn't even introduce myself." Then, he turns to me, straightening his posture and steps forward, attempting to make a formal approach. "I'm Branch's brother." His smile is wide. Completely unthreatening. And my breathing stops.
