It's been ten years since that deal has been made and a lot has changed. Enmira is no longer the woman she once was and things are only getting worse. Certain tragedies has lead her to become the cold hearted criminal everyone says she is. More lies are beginning to spread and it's only making her life that much harder. Enmira is a half elven skin changer, that went through a lot in her early years. After an encounter with Gandalf, she sees the company that she needs to protect and the, King Under the Mountain, makes her skin crawl. The journey has barely begun and she's already having strange feelings for the King. She doesn't understand what this pull means and Thorin seems to be in the same boat. But unlike her, he actually knows what's going on and is doing his best to ignore it. But a skin changer only has one mate in their lifetime and it's rare for a Dwarf to find their One. So when that true love is found, it's dangerous to avoid it.

Lothiriel is a Nymph from the forests of Eryn Vorn, Bilbo is a Hobbit from The Shire and Thorin and company have left behind their home, Erebor. Being unexpectedly roped into this intriguing adventure, Lothiriel is naturally taking in the adventure and the danger, unlike the unwilling Hobbit. Thorin on the other hand, although seemingly adrift to the two newcomers on his quest, accept their aid none the less. But what if all the adventuring comes at a cost? Or if something unexpected comes from this interesting adventure?

On a rainy night, Emeryn seeks out Thorin Oakenshield at the Prancing Pony. Having been sent by Gandalf himself, she convinces the Prince to reclaim his homeland and slay the dragon Smaug. Emeryn, thirteen dwarves, a hobbit and a wizard embark on an adventurous journey full of dangers and...love?
