Luffy seems to understand this, hand slowly reaching up to his shoulder, traveling down the length of his arm, before his fingers slip in between Zoro's. He still doesn't speak, and Zoro feels all the words he'd been preparing for the past two years dying in his throat in a small, strangled sound.

"You're awake," Luffy said, and Zoro brought his head to hang over Luffy's, resting their foreheads together and looking down into his eyes. "Couldn't sleep," Zoro murmured, running a few of his fingers through Luffy's hair, splayed in the grass he was resting on. "Don't be silly, you can always sleep," Luffy smiled curiously. He didn't understand Zoro sometimes, like why he was running his fingers through his hair. He reached up, running his own through Zoro's. There wasn't much, but his short hair was soft and pleasing to touch. Ah, perhaps he did understand.

"Straw Hat Luffy... Will no longer be able to see again." A tragedy struck the Straw Hats when their Captain falls victim to Blackbeard's powers, while fighting against him. Because of this, Luffy ends up losing his eyesight, and goes on a rampage.
