Chay reflects on Kim and Pete's past, noting how Kim is drawn to Pete's sunny personality. Chay understands this attraction and can't fault Kim, considering it's Pete-lovely, kind, and effortlessly likable. While it's difficult for Chay to harbor any resentment towards him, it still stings to witness the way Kim looks at Pete, filled with admiration as if he hung the moon.
