This book is a companion to my books Without a King and Wanderlust. This is for anyone who, like me, enjoys extra details about fictional worlds. Updates will happen sporadically, simply because I don't want to spoil anything that is revealed at strategic times during the books. However I will assume that anyone checking this out is up to date with the novels. It will include information like maps, world history, notes about different cultures, mythology, and anything else I have created that I think people might find interesting!

And Finn learns that being in a relationship with a lord isn't going to simply be the life of luxury he was starting to enjoy.

'You'll be imprisoned for a year and a day.' The next words caught in my throat. Finn looked so defenceless, so harmless. His arms were tied back and I wanted to step forward and cut the ropes. I wanted to order the guards away, and I wanted to pull Finn out of the rain. I wanted to brush his dripping hair out of his eyes and kiss him. I would protect him, but I had to be smart. So I cleared my throat, and before I could get caught up in my thoughts again, I finished Finn's sentence. 'And then, you'll be executed.' ---- While Finn waits in prison, Tannix works to prove he's innocent. Unexpected challenges get in his way, including missing documents, the royal spymaster, and politics. With Tandrin's help, Tannix tries to navigate these obstacles as well as figure out his new place as a favourite Champion. In the lower city, Baisan also struggles to come to terms with what has happened, and how his world is continuing to change. *Takes place between Without a King and An Aimless War

Lady Clarille is seventeen, which means it is time for her to start courting. The only young lord who has caught her eye is Lord Berver, and she's determined to make him notice her. That is, until she meets the wealthy merchant, Keridel. Keridel isn't noble. He isn't even a Teltan. But Clarille quickly realizes that doesn't matter to her. Keridel is charming, handsome and intelligent. Most importantly, he treats her like an equal. He talks to her about his business and listens to her ideas. He sees that she's more than just a prize to be married. Their courtship starts with letters, and becomes much more. Set nearly 50 years before 'Without a King', this is the story of Tannix's maternal grandparents.
