BOOK 1 // Human Error (COMPLETE) BOOK 2 // Human Instinct (IN PROGRESS) *NOW OPTIONED FOR A TV SHOW* "Be not afraid of greatness. Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and others have greatness engineered right into their DNA." - William Shakespeare, 1602 (adapted for BioPlus) Astrid Oxford is not normal. Two hundred years into the future, society is recovering from global collapse, and genetic modification has saved the remaining population from a hunger crisis. Kinsley Adams is finally getting the getaway she's been dreaming of for years. She's moving to her cottage for the summer, three hours away from her home filled with day-to-day madness. Kinsley's had the same cottage for as long as she can remember, but something has definitely changed since the last time she came for a visit; new neighbors. A couple with a nephew her age- Levi- and a son due to arrive the next day- Finn. When they come over for a barbecue the first night, Levi Collins seems like a completely normal teenager. That is until she wakes up in the middle of the night to the sound of gunshots coming from the shooting range hidden on the edges of the forest. That's when Kinsley discovers Levi Collins is far from a completely normal teenager. Completely normal teenagers aren't almost constantly losing their mind, after all. And that's where Finn Allen comes in.

This story is about a boy fighting his demons while trying to find meaning in life in the midst of the battle. Through his journey he comes to learn that the challenges he face are not meant to be escaped but conquered. In his triumph, he becomes something greater than he could ever imagine. I plan on developing this story into a animated series so the dialogue is written like a play. Also in the dialogue there are parts that are bold and parts that aren't. The bold text in the dialogue represent action or feelings while the non-bold text represent the actual words the character is saying. This story is some of the lessons I have learned in my life. It parallels my life in my own mental struggles flirting with suicide, depression and feelings of worthlessness. I hope that this blesses you if you are going through some of the same struggles, so that you can find value in them. Your challenges are happening for you, not to you. Also please leave comments, say what you think. I'd rather you criticize my work so that it can be improved rather than maintaining a fragile ego. Thanks errrbodii. Shout out to da homies Rayven Naveh (https://www.wattpad.com/user/RNJHall) for being a special pen pal, proof reader and friend ;)

UPDATE: 1/14/24 - Per reader request, I will turn this from a short story into a novella. It will be taken down soon and re-published! Despite years passing since Hasan moved his children from Québec to Amman, twenty-four-year-old Yazid still struggles to see passed his father's decision to leave his mother. As the firstborn, he attempts to take on more responsibility for his sisters, but one of them perpetually meets him headstrong. If there are three words Hasan would use to describe his son, they would be reckless, disagreeable, and unpredictable. For this reason, he entrusts his eldest daughter Aseel to care for the family, investing in her more than investing in Yazid. With his mother thousands of miles away, and his father unapproachable, the young man finds solace in injecting himself with needles of "amnesia" as he puts it, unaware that, with every memory he washes away, he grows in sin. On one lonely night, Yazid comes in contact with slithering dancers, swaying from side to side, whispering in his ear that there is only one true way to cleanse himself of his sins. Genre: General Fiction Themes: Suicide, substance abuse, anxiety

Inured by desert life in sixth-century Hijaz, Rami sees the birth of his newborn daughter as a burden to be buried under the sands. Genres: Historical Fiction, Women's Fiction, Romance Update: 1/12/2024 - I am rewriting this story and will republish the second draft soon. Follow me to stay tuned!

Book 2. Ethan Cullen, total heart throb and the new basketball prodigy of Pacific Vista High. His parents have the higest expectations for him and expect him to follow in his older brothers and fathers footsteps of getting a basketball scholarship to College. But what happens when one drunken night with his girlfriend turns into something much bigger than they expected? This is a follow on book from Life through her eyes. You don't technically need to read it but somethings in there wont be mentioned in this book and vise versa. Better to read that one first for this to make complete sense. ***contains strong language and sexual references***
