Asena Lily Uley is different. She was adopted by Sam Uley when she was twelve years old. Sam had barely been eighteen years old when he adopted the girl, but he never regretted it. Asena's birthparents had died after a car accident, which was caused by an icy road. Sam had babysat Asena when she was younger, so he was close to the girl. He refused that she'd be put in an orphanage or foster care, so he took her in almost instantly. When Asena was fifteen, Sam phased into a shapeshifter for the first time. He was so scared that he'd accidentally hurt the girl, that he left her in the care of Leah Clearwater. Leah wasn't really a fan of the young girl, so Sue took care of her for the most part. After Sam imprinted on Emily, he refused to spend anymore time away from his adopted daughter. He moved her into his home and hoped she wouldn't find out the truth about him...

She was different as well, but she believed she was alone. She didn't expect to find someone to love, nor did she expect for things to fall apart around her more than they already had.
