It was supposed to be simple:
New town, new school, same trouble.
Hongjoong had been kicked out of three schools already, and moving in with his older sister was his last chance before the universe officially labeled him "unfixable."
He hated her town the second he saw it-perfect lawns, shiny cars, houses big enough to have their own echo. It looked like a postcard for people who never had real problems.
Rich. Boring. Fake.
Hongjoong wanted out the moment he arrived.
And then he met him.
Park Seonghwa.
The richest boy in the richest house, with a face carved like a promise and eyes sharp enough to cut through every wall Hongjoong had built. He walked through life like he owned it-and maybe he did.
Hongjoong hated him instantly.
Seonghwa hated him right back.
Their first meeting ended with insults, a shattered ego, and Hongjoong swearing he'd rather set the whole school on fire than ever speak to that snobby, perfect, infuriating boy again.
But something shifted the night they got stuck at the same stupid charity event, forced into a dark hallway together. Words turned into bickering, bickering turned into heat, and heat turned into something Hongjoong absolutely refused to name.
It was reckless.
It was wrong.
It was addictive.
And Hongjoong told himself it meant nothing-because it had to.
But on the first day of school, when he walked into his new classroom and saw Park Seonghwa already sitting there, legs crossed, eyebrow raised, smirk sharp enough to kill...
The universe made one thing very clear:
He wasn't escaping this boy.
He wasn't escaping whatever this was.
And Hongjoong would never admit it out loud, but if he wasn't careful-
he might just go soft for the one person he was supposed to hate.
He might fall for Park Seonghwa.
And that terrified him more than any trouble he'd ever gotten into.
