This is the story of five people. Milo Romani, a teen who gets emancipated and needs help living on his own, tries to find a roommate or two to live with. He ends up living with best friends Nimah "Tonks" Parker and Smith Hunter, who are both 19. Across the hall are twin sisters, Star and Luna Gardener, who quickly become friends with their neighbors.

Alex, Jesse, Devin, Ray, Jordan, and Taylor all met by chance. They all got superpowers by chance. But they didn't all become a team by chance. They became a team by choice. A team made to stop the forces of evil. Hopefully they can still accomplish that while trying to get good grades in college.

This story has four main characters named Aura Malfoy, Morana Drax, Xenia Fairchild, and Tess Booker. Aura Malfoy is the pureblood twin sister of Draco Malfoy! Nobody knows about her because her parents don't talk about her. Why? She was sorted into Gryffindor! Morana Drax is a pureblood witch who was sorted into Slytherin. Morana is pretty much the Draco of the story. Xenia Fairchild is a very smart Muggle-born who was sorted into Ravenclaw. Tess Booker is a half-blood that was sorted into Hufflepuff. Morana gets her heart broken for the first time. Draco, the love of her life, asks her out on a date, but days later she sees him on the Hogwarts Express and he was with his new girlfriend, Pansy Parkinson. Aura isn't sure whose side she's on: her family's or her friends'. On the family side she has her brother that broke her friend's heart, a manipulative father, and a murderer as a cousin. Okay, friends win... Tess isn't sure what to make of her visions. She gets them constantly. Now that she's started taking Divination she gets them a bit more often. She can't make sense of them, though... Xenia begins to do research. Her and the other girls found objects on the Hogwarts grounds; objects that used to belong to the four founders.
