Naruto who took his friendship with Sasuke seriously was unable to realize that such feelings weren't reciprocated especially when Sasuke had shoved the Chidori, a technique that he was fully aware was forbidden to be used on a comrade but Sasuke never cared only seeing another obstacle to his dreams of avenging his deceased clan.
