He hissed as the alcohol touched his bleeding wound and he grabbed my hand. His touch ignited a flame and I knew that later I might have to treat myself for burns. "I'm sorry, did that hurt?" I asked, softly. I tried to calm my breathing as I did so, he was so close. The years that I spent staying away from his kind weren't paying off. "No," He retorted sarcastically, still holding onto my hand. "I hissed because I'm a snake. Of course that hurt, pumpkin." His comment awakened several buried memories, but I ignored them and continued to work on his wound. "Could you please let go of my hand now?" I muttered. He smirked and shook his head. "Do I scare you?" he asked, completely ignoring my question. Even though he did scare me, he scared me completely biscuit-less, I rose my head up and shook my light brown waves. "Absolutely, not." ************************ Gemma Reynolds is an an overworked nurse and probably one of the most innocent and pure people you will ever meet. Her life consists of a simple and constant routine, wake up early, workout, go to work, eat , sleep and listen to her mother criticize her about not having a boyfriend or husband. She has always been hidden in the shadows and even in high school she preferred to stay away from anyone living or breathing, especially Mr. Wyatt Evans. When Wyatt comes into the hospital battered, bruised and bleeding, one night, Gemma is to take care of him. Through several long nights at the hospital, dangerous hide outs and intricate explanations, Gemma figures out that there is more to life than her simple routine and maybe nursing the bad boy isn't as bad as it seems.

Kennedy doesn't like drama. She tries to stay away from it at all costs. She likes things simple and she doesn't like attention. Moving has a lot of negative things, but moving a month after school starts has even more. Kennedy doesn't think that it can go that bad. I mean the worst that can happen is getting interrogated in class by the teacher. She is horribly wrong, though. The worst that can happen is Hunter McCollum. The feared bad boy of the town. He has a reputation and not a very good one, may I add. He likes things to go his way and he gets everything he wants. He likes things to be his and only his. So when Hunter sees something he likes he doesn't hesitate to claim it. That is exactly what happens when he sees Kennedy. He claims her as his. The simple phrase, "Your mine," creates the drama that Kennedy is trying to escape. That simple phrase creates a journey for both of them. That simple phrase helps develop feelings that neither of them knew could be felt for each other. Note: I am slowly editing this story so they are a lot of mistakes in it.

More than eight years before the novel opens, Anne Elliot, then a lovely, thoughtful, warm-hearted 19 year old, accepted a proposal of marriage from the handsome young naval officer Frederick Wentworth. He was clever, confident, and ambitious, but poor and with no particular family connections to recommend him. Sir Walter, Anne's fatuous, snobbish father and her equally self-involved older sister Elizabeth were dissatisfied with her choice, maintaining that he was no match for an Elliot of Kellynch Hall, the family estate. Her older friend and mentor, Lady Russell, acting in place of Anne's late mother, persuaded her to break the engagement. Now 27 and still unmarried, Anne re-encounters her former love when his sister and brother-in-law, the Crofts, take out a lease on Kellynch. Wentworth is now a captain and wealthy from maritime victories in the Napoleonic wars. However, he has not forgiven Anne for rejecting him. While publicly declaring that he is ready to marry any suitable young woman who catches his fancy, he privately resolves that he is ready to become attached to any appealing young woman except for Anne Elliot.

The story follows the main character Elizabeth Bennet as she deals with issues of manners, upbringing, morality, education, and marriage in the society of the landed gentry of early 19th-century England. Elizabeth is the second of five daughters of a country gentleman living near the fictional town of Meryton in Hertfordshire, near London.
