Back on Earth, Steven and the gems are having a cookout in celebration. Finally they're done! The corrupted gems are healed, the Diamonds are going to put a stop to their colonization and dictatorship. From now on everything will be better. Peaceful. Except it's not. A new threat takes the place of the corrupted gems, and it's first target is the one closest to the waters edge.

"W-Wha... What a-am I d-doing...? W-Why d-do I want to hurt you so b-bad...!?" He frowned deeply at her, looking at his pink shield as he watched the broken gem before him sob so terribly. It felt like his heart broke in two as he kneeled there with guilt and sorrow for her. None of this was meant to happen. "I-I j-just... I just w-want to be your friend..." "Spinel..." He slowly brought her closer, giving her an understanding look. "I... I want to be your-" The ground rumbled and cut him off, flinging both Spinel and him apart as they fell to the pink crystal floor. "Spinel!?" "Steven!" Steven screamed, shooting up from his bed as the nightmare ended. Wait... his room? Wait!? Steven's Body!? Why... Why was he thirteen years old again?
