Maisie is aware of who is actually supposed to take care of her and is trusting of Owen to take her there, but at the end of it all, Owen wants to protect Maisie from the wrong people and maybe his mother being so well known isn't the right place until Henry Wu can be stopped. Ian Malcolm invites Alan and Ellie back for one more trip, informing them of their best friend's plan. In Biosyn, Henry Wu works closely with Clarissa Malcolm to fix the mistake he made. He believes he can by learning about Maisie, not knowing that Clarissa is a clone herself or knowing that Clarissa is part of the genome of his dinosaurs. Maisie is happy to see her godmother there and fondly calls her mom, as she thinks that's what her biological mother, Charlotte, would have wanted.
