In feudal Charleston, Sang lives in poverty as does the rest of the kingdom outside of royalty. They steal, sell themselves, and commit heinous crimes without a second thought. Forced by her mother, Sang goes out to steal money for food rations she and her sister doesn't even get to eat. Unbeknownst to Sang, her victim happens to belong to the same castle set on torturing people like her. I do not own the Ghostbird series or any of the characters in it. A Dystopian Fanfiction In a world of Skyscrapers and Ruins, there are only two things you can be, an Elite living in wasteful wealth or a Ghost living in excess poverty. Sang is one of those Ghosts, forgotten by the rich and shoved aside to live in an overcrowded city of ruins. But perhaps the Ghosts aren't as abandoned as they think, because suddenly there's a way out of the Ruins for those daring to apply. A desperate Sang has no choice but to submit an application despite the harsh rumors that surround it. Now, it's no longer about trying to survive the Ruins, with hunger and pain, but trying to survive the Skyscrapers, with death, rebellion, and the most dangerous thing of all: love.

This is a ghost bird fan fiction. I have never written any fan fiction before but I have had this idea in my head for awhile. Sang is now Sam. Her mother has made her become a man to stop her from ruining her life. Sang moves to South Carolina and hopes to keep her identity a secret and make it through high school with her secret. Sang has always been a little bit different. She was made fun of for being a math-whiz in school up until she was kidnapped. Growing up in the crime world from a young age, she tried to do what she was told and keep her head down...but...that was easier said than done. Trouble seems to follow her like it's her middle name. Eventually things come to a head that puts her in the Academy's sights, but the struggles only keep piling up as she is shuffled around, wondering when or even if she will ever find somewhere she feels like is home. {On Hold} Sang Sorenson is a ghost. She doesn't exist, at least not legally. Although, Sang's family wishes that she was a ghost, that she was never born in the first place. Little did they know that Sang wished that as well. Then, one night, something completely unexpected happens. A week after moving into Sunnyvale Court, shots fire in the Sorenson household. Dianne Sorenson was dead. The wife of John Sorenson and mother of Marie Sorenson was shot in the chest and died in her house. When the police arrives and an investigation opens, Sang's father has to do everything in his power to make sure no one finds Sang or figures out what happened the night of his wife's murder. But when the Academy catches wind of one of their suspects being involved with a homicide, they send, not just one, but two teams in to solve the crime. Will the Toma and Blackbourne teams be able to join forces and find the murderer? What happens when they find out John Sorenson has another daughter, a daughter who is a ghost bird? Did Sang kill her stepmother?

Being a Guardian is nothing like being an Angel, being an Angel is probably cooler. You get wings, a golden halo, and probably cooler powers than I have like fire and water and maybe even healing. Instead, as a Guardian, you can alter fate and change the stars. You can control ice, but only in little bouts and only during the winter, when there's already an abundance of ice. But every Guardian has a special power that helps their bond, and since I have five bonds, I end up with more than one power. Probably the only cool thing about me. My bonds can't see me, can't feel me, they don't even know I exist. It supposed to be that way, until they meet a girl that doesn't have the right intentions. Until they fall in love with this girl.
