What if Bucky wasn't the one who fell off of the train? What if Captain America became the Winter Soldier?

In an alternate universe, a mission took place, deep within the Swiss Alps. Steve Rogers, Captain America, and loyal childhood friend, Bucky Barnes, took on the forces of HYDRA, capturing Arnim Zola. It was not without loss. However, this time, it was Steve who fell off the train, suspended in ice until Soviet Union scouts discovered the man, hiding him for years to come. In a final attempt to stop HYDRA and avenge his friend, Bucky Barnes takes up the mantle as Captain America. Even before he was frozen under the ice, he felt something was wrong inside. But after nearly 70 years of being frozen, he feels more out of place than ever. He's unsure how to adjust and struggles with upholding the mantle as Captain America, uncertain if he's fit for the role. In the midst of the chaos, a familiar face from his past comes back to haunt him. How will he be able to balance his new responsibilities and life, while still holding onto his old one? Stucky One Shots Random AU, Smutty, fluff?, requests are always open

Steven Grant Rogers was suppose to be America's golden boy. But what if he fell off the train instead of Sergeant James Barnes? Agent June McKay has been with SHEILD for close to six years now, she has fought next to the best, including Captain Barnes. Aka Captain America. But what she doesn't expect is for his "long lost" best friend to show up, fighting them, and having no recollection of Barnes. This story is going to follow "Captain America The Winter Soldier" as best as I can from memory. There will be some changes aspects of it but for the most part will be derived from the movie. I also do not own any marvel characters. I do own June McKay and her backstory.
