Light was seven when he ran away from home. He was seven when he found a panda looking child. Light was seven when he was finally accepted for who he was. L was nine when he became the world's greatest detective. L was ten when he found a brown-haired child covered in dirt. L was ten when he made his first friend. AU: Light runs away from home and is found by L. This follows Light and L growing up together and then the Merikh Case (which follows the timeline of the Kira Case just a different name). Light uses the name of Kira when he is at Wammy's House so hence the rename.

L and Light. Both totally opposite from the other. Light wishes death upon L, and absolutely hates him. L is mysterious,and is after the mass murderer Kira,who happens to be Light. Will switching with each other finally reveal how one another feels? Or the dark secrets in one of their minds? Or will it awaken another feeling? Elle Lawliet es un chico que está secretamente enamorado del estudiante nuevo que ha llegado a su clase, Light Yagami. Sin embargo, debido a su retraimiento y nula capacidad de desarrollo social, no percibe en sí mismo el coraje suficiente como para aproximarse a su persona, por ello, decidirá enviarle recados anónimos deslizando los papeles por su taquilla cada mañana antes del comienzo de clases. Es una pena que Elle no sepa ser romántico...

"I don't know, Light." He paused, leaning forward towards the younger boy. "Why don't you tell me. Do you think we still are going to continue investigating?" He cocked his head to the side. He watched as Light's eyes fell back to their half moon shape. "Well, I would suppose so. You've handcuffed us together," he raised the dangling chain between them. "So I'd expect there'd be a reason to that, especially if we were still investigating." The chain jingled as it was lowered back to the floor, echoing out in the large room. L smiled slightly. "So the answer is yes then." He backed away, returning to his computer. He heard a small sigh from Light. Turning to face him again, he spoke. "Don't think you're not a suspect. That hasn't changed at all." Light nodded, not removing his eyes from his computer. L turned back to his own computer. The room filled with an awkward silence. The only sounds were the clicking sounds of the keys on the keyboards being typed as the two worked. It was minutes before either one spoke. "How many times must I tell you I'm not Kira?" He spoke softly. "I don't know. Ask me in a month." L smiled cheekily.

Disclaimer: Death Note doesn't belong to me I'm only obsessed with it. L x Light L is Light's greatest enemy. Light Yagami is L's number one Kira suspect. Light questions L as his enemy though, and may even love him. The only problem, can L possibly feel the same way?
