So much for an easy way to go. After thirty nine long years, each squandered day chained inexorably and uneventfully to the next, this is how it ends. How appropriate. Blinking back tears, Joanna shakes out another handful of pills into the palm of her hand... Environmental catastrophe, dismissed by many as myth or propaganda, is now an impending reality. Tides are rising and storms are brewing. Meanwhile, in a small-town suburban home, a small family is fraying at the seams, and on the brink of a collapse of their own. Following the suicide of his wife and imprisoned by grief, Arnold witnesses the inexorable downwards spiral of his neighbourhood on television, from the confines of his living room. Fifty years on, his son Noah is thrust into a dense, compact Britain he hardly recognizes, adrift in a society in the throes of transformation. Years later, the experiment falters and Nature threatens to take over entirely. Noah’s daughter Eve faces unimaginable consequences and her will to survive is tested to its limits... THE FALL OF MAN begins in the Britain of today. Three successive generations struggle to exist in a future rife with change. Their story chronicles a series of cataclysmic, global events, from the perspective of an all-too-human family. Two new chapters to be added each week...

Ramona "Mona" Gray only wanted to catch a big fish. Instead she caught a boy the same height as herself. Adam Fink was trying to catch a girl to take home to his grandpa that only wanted him to fall in love... With anyone, he didn't care as long as Adam was happy like his parents had been when they had met. Ramona didn't want a boy to bring home to her mom. Her sister already had a man lined up for the both of them, and neither of those boys was Adam. No, they were "respectful" gentlemen. Which to Ramona meant they were snobbish and most likely sexist in their own subtle ways. They wouldn't care for her boy short hair or that she loved her beanie dearly and would never part with it. Still, with matching plaid button ups that were both bought from the same side of the store it was clear that these two would get along... Well mostly, Adam wasn't too keen when she pushed him off the dock. And Ramona wasn't too happy to jump in after him to save him when he could have easily stood up in the water. After she took to calling him princess while he continued to access that she needed to grow out some stubble since she was already working the "man of the wilderness" look. Their adventures of their senior year will be tricky, probably a bit roundabout, and maybe just a teeny bit romantic. Still its like Ramona always says, "high school is just some pond to practice life in, once its over you go down the river of college and then you're at the ocean of opportunity and depending on what kind of fish you are it could be scary and vast or it can be too small and lonely." Highest Ranks: |Mystery/Thriller #1| |Action #3| I was trained my whole life to disarm a grown man using nothing but a credit card, nail files, and a sock if I'm lucky. Becoming a cheerleader sounded laughable compared to everything I've done. But I soon learn that balancing spirit weeks, cute boys, and curling wands along with nuclear weapons, evil psychopaths, and rogue agents is a lot more work than I thought. I mean would you suspect a varsity cheerleader to be a spy working for the CIA? Or Interpol? The FBI maybe? Of course not which is why it works. Never judge a book or a girl by her cover. ••BOOK 1 IN THE JUST UNDERCOVER TRILOGY•• *cover by @THEICEWOLVES
