In 1915, at the height of the Great War, fears that Ireland may join the war against Britain increased. Under orders from the British Admiralty, the closest railways were ordered to become one single railway spanning from coast to coast. This railway could become the North Western Railway, which opened in August 1918. This is the story of the railway's construction and the engines who worked in those early years.

Thomas and The Magic Railroad is a poorly written film, mostly. All TTTE fans know that. In my AU, Lady does exist and events that are similar to TATMR take place, but all the 'gold dust' BS does not exist. So here is my version of a realistic TATMR. This tale takes place in 1972, months before BR end their mainline steam ban.
