Merlin has walked the Earth for 1500 years waiting for Arthur to return. In the mean time he is told of a new destiny to watch out for Harry Potter in the years to come. As a result Merlin becomes the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor.

What if, instead of Hagrid giving Harry his letter, Snape is the one who gives it to him? What will Snape think of Harry once he meets him and the Dursleys. When Sirius Black breaks out of prison, seeing his godson hanging around that rat, he does the most logical think that occured to him.
