Error Sans suddenly wakes up trapped in a place he likes to call 'The Void'. It's everything you would expect it to be. Barren. Empty. Isolated. He doesn't remember anything from his previous life. He doesn't remember anything. He doesn't know anything. He trapped. Lost. In the dark. And all he really wants are some answers.

The only difference (if we don't count that he is younger) is that he has golden strings. He can use them only to heal, but he can't heal himself with them. Even if he can't use his magic, he still is really strong. Because this au alredy has Error, he calls himself Glitch. It isn't far from Error, and he thinks himself as an mistake.
