Connor is sick. Always has been, always will be. It's left him jaded and strapped for cash, but at least it's not bloodrot. He's still got his sanity. When an estranged family member offers him a lifetime supply of his meds for an itsy bitsy bit of exploring, however, Connor accepts and ventures out into the dark tunnels of Par-12. This is well outside the relative safety of the subterranean mega-city of Heart. And it's a stupid decision. Meanwhile, Tess - his pharmacist's little sister - finds herself in a pickle. This isn't too unusual, given her knack for sticking her nose where it doesn't belong. However, it is the first time she's been plucked from her home and dumped outside of Heart. And there are things out there in those dark, dark tunnels - things that were once people. Tess and Connor are not alone. *Content warning: occasional strong language and somewhat graphic descriptions of a poorly handled disease. **Special thanks to @RicBlow for the lovely cover art!

Isidra yearns to become one of the Andarae, a global peacekeeping force of mortals and dragons. Syl has a grudge against the Andarae because they betrayed her family. When the Sanctuary of the Andarae is attacked, a magical accident binds Isidra to Syl. Irreversibly connected by blood and soul, they're forced to team up as a dragon-rider pair and train together. That would be bad enough, since they can't stand each other...then bloodless corpses start turning up, and it becomes clear that someone's hellbent on destroying the Andarae from within. With the future of both their races at stake, Isidra and Syl must put aside their differences to solve the string of violent crimes. But that puts a target on their backs, which means the next bloodless corpses might be them. They'll have to stay one step ahead on this magical murder mystery... Because if they can't learn to work together, they'll die together.

They say the world used to turn. They say that night would follow day in an endless dance. They say that dawn rose, dusk fell, and we worshiped both sun and stars. That was a long time ago. The dance has died. The world has fallen still. We float through the heavens, one half always in light, one half always in shadow. Like the moth of our forests, one wing white and the other black, we are torn. My people are the fortunate. We live in daylight, blessed in the warmth of the sun. Yet across the line, the others lurk in eternal night, afraid... and alone in the dark. I was born in the light. I was sent into darkness. This is my story.

||2022 WATTYS WINNER|| A scholar boy who denies the existence of elemental magic. A hidden princess who can control all seven elements. A mystical quill capable of rewriting both of their destinies. In the realm of Rainier where magic should no longer exist, eighteen-year-old Sebastian d'Aximos, a nobody scholar from an insignificant fishing village, finds himself accused by the Salvera Crown for using forgotten elemental magic to murder his own mother. There exists one problem with the Crown's theory, however; magic resides only in the Scribal legends about the Authors of Old, a rare race of humans who controlled the seven elements by weaving elemental threads into storybooks called Monvertas. But the Monvertas are myths; they have never been real. Yet, when Sebastian's soul cries out to the hidden heir of Rainier's Crown, Astrid Salvera, his beliefs in logic and facts are challenged. Because Astrid controls the seven elements, and she and her mother have worked to release magic back to their kingdom since it had been stolen by the enemy lands of Soleita two decades previously. Together, Sebastian and Astrid must work to find a mystical, hidden artifact: the Black Quill. A tool used by the original Author to unlock the Monverta and release its magical secrets. A tool that could redeem the realms of their world and reinstate magic. Ancient myths, prophecies of saviours and villains, and deadly trials by elements awaken to meet both Sebastian and Astrid as they work to unveil the secrets hidden from Rainier and learn the dark truths of each other. **Book 2 OUT NOW!**

Kyba is safe. That's what all the grown-ups say, but Ptarmigan knows better. For a child like him, the city is brimming with dangers, no matter what the adults think. He'd much rather spend his days exploring the Undercity than risk his neck in the streets above. Intending to keep his head down, his plans unravel with the discovery of a monster, locked behind a set of feathered gates. And now, people are going missing. Convinced its more than coincidence, Ptarmigan and his wyvern Shyam set out to unravel the mystery of a history forgotten, and a conspiracy which seems to run deep in the north's most prestigious city. But all is not as it seems, and some secrets are better buried. (This is primarily the final draft of this novel plot wise, currently revising/editing chapter by chapter after receiving feedback! :D )
