This story takes place two years after The Cursed Child. Scorpius Malfoy is in his sixth year at Hogwarts, and has been hopelessly in love with Rose Granger-Weasley ever since he first saw her on the Hogwarts Express in their first year. This is a tale of love, of friendship, adventure, and breaking the rules.

Rose Weasley has always been the top of her class. She got it from her mum, the pure determination to soak in all the information that she learned because to her, there was nothing more interesting. But at the start of her sixth year, she is already feeling stumped, and not because of the higher-level N.E.W.T classes that she is taking. No, this is because of a Malfoy. Her parents were never too thrilled that she was friends with the kid, but it didn't stop Rose, especially not when she couldn't even see her best friend/cousin without also seeing him. Along with Rose, Scorpius was also one of the top students in the class. He was her only real competition. And the friendly competition never hurt anyone, well, not until this year. She hates not knowing the answers to things, and this one replayed in her head all the time. She's stumped trying to figure it out, of course not realizing that it's her cluelessness that's the real problem.
