Chara and reader are both gender neutral and use they/them pronouns. The story is set in the future, the monsters have all been freed by Frisk and they all live on the surface. But there's still rumours of a certain 'demon' living in the underground and curious (y/n) decides to go and check that out-aka they go visit mt.ebbot and then meet Chara - it's also an alternate universe because the storyline isnt the same as the canon undertale story...kind of....anyway hope y'all enjoy ! It's been around half a year since your friend, Frisk, as you recall, managed to do something that broke the barrier and let the monsters live with humans. You weren't around in your hometown and neither Mt. Ebott to witness it, but you didn't care really. What was important, is that you returned from the trip that lasted what seemed a lifetime.
