As we walked around the courtyard with chains on our feet and handcuffs around our hands, I thought about how only a couple months ago we were free and walking our high school court. I remember it like it was yesterday "Guilty on account of murder" as he looked at me and some of my best friends with a smile on his face. Off we went to spend the next 24 years and only 17 for good behavior, but I am getting ahead of myself. The real story is why we heard that guilty verdict.
