Severus is hated by basically everybody. His home life is no better than his school life. He's abused and bullied. And the only thing that brings him out of the harsh reality is Lily and books. One day James is bored, walking around with none of his friends. He was the only one with a free period from the marauders so he decided to wander around. Then he found Severus curled up under a tree reading an old book. What will he do? Say something? Hurt him? Or just stand there hoping not the be noticed by the Slytherin? Art is not mine. This is a story that a new friend of mine, @XxmoonlightdiamondxX and I came up with as we were conversing about Drarry and the subject of Jeverus came up.

"Things are really great they way they are at the moment, and I don't want to do anything to mess it up," Severus said slowly. He kept his head steady, eyes fixed out at a star low on the horizon. Severus refused to look at James. He needed to get this off his chest and it would be impossible to do so if that penetrating gaze was fixated on him. He'd only recognised his new feelings for what they were about a week ago; an infatuation. He never considered the possibility that he could be attracted to men, but it seems like James might be the exception. Or maybe, he was the rule. It was still too soon for Severus to tell. "But sometimes, a thing just feels so right, you know?" Severus finished. James didn't say anything. They both just kept looking straight out across the Great Lake. OR After Severus Snape and James Potter find themselves stuck in an awkward detention together, an unlikely friendship forms. As their newfound friendship develops, James discovers something new about himself while Severus tries to fight his growing attraction to the Gryffindor boy.

Severus is tired. Hes in a relationship that is purely conventional and hes tired of living a life without light. His husband however is scared. Scared that if he gets too close he'll accidentally show the affection he held so dear for his husband. Its a idiot in love and a tired chemist who wishes his husband would try. So james makes it his personal mission to get severus snape in love with him again.

Severus is in love. That person has a girlfriend and hates him. Or so he thought. And one conversation in the woods changed everything. ( enemies to friends to lovers.)

At the age of 16, the given witch or wizard will go through a creature inheritance (if that person has creature blood in their family line). Severus Snape goes through an early (and very painful) creature inheritance, and has trouble finding his mate, or rather, coming to terms with who his mate is. James Potter is having the same trouble with his inheritance.
