One day Ponyboy finds Steve sitting at the kitchen table, brooding, upset, and sporting a large bruise on his cheek, not to mention the countless others and the way he's sitting there, uncharacteristically quiet... so Pony devises a way to get him talking. What happens next starts them off on a different part of their semi rocky relationship, or lack thereof, but that's a thing of the past. Maybe Steve actually likes the 'Tag Along' and maybe Ponyboy doesn't hate Steve like he says he does.
