He had to drink the blood of that specific animal within the last 24 hours for his blood demon art to work. Sometimes if he concentrated enough he could feel the traits of an animal he'd eaten while in his humanoid form. While in the form of an animal, he can only use a tenth of his strength. What Killua couldn't figure out, was why he knew certain things. He knew where all the vital points on a human were, how to bandage a wound, how to use a knife, how to extend his senses outwards, despite never having done them before.
