If you kill a deity who has the ability to time travel, is he really gone? This is a short story about a god of the arts, known as Horti, and their former, evil counterpart, Hul. It could have been much longer but as it involves time travel that'd just have made it even more confusing than it is already. To properly understand Horti and Hul and their backgrounds, I recommend reading The Seventh God and The Biggest Sacrifice. To understand more about the Lethan empire and Khicholler, read Khicholler, Philanderer, Father, Liar. The significance of all of the story entries might escape readers who haven't also familiarised themselves with some of my other characters and stories. The story does contain some swearing and references to death but isn't gratuitous, I don't think, and so I've not marked it as mature, however I'm happy to be corrected by my readers.

Kelly Honesson, dean of Heladias Port East's university, silver dragon, and beloved adoptive son of the god Honess, had never met his biological parents at all, and in fact wasn't even certain that his biological father knew he'd been conceived. He knew, thanks to the inherited memories that were his lot and due as a dragon, who his birth parents were of course, and when an eerily familiar face appears at his door, he has no idea how to react. A standalone short story, featuring Kelly Honesson and some of his family, taking place some years after the end of the 'afterwards' in my earlier story, Kelly's Trauma. Note that the cover image does not belong to me.

A very short, silly little story about how eye testing works in the Four Realms and how vision problems are solved. Dedicated to all opticians everywhere.

The goddess of torment and depravity, her holiness Hale, has a certain obsession. Screaming. She'll listen to thrash or screaming metal if she finds herself with a sudden craving, but she far prefers the real thing if she can get it. This short story is marked 'mature' as Hale is incapable of keeping anything PG, even a choir... If you want to know who Morraleth is (or rather, was), read the collection, If I'm an Evil Goddess. A second, shorter but interrelated story follows the first.

"You'll kill him!" another man breathed. "Oh, of course I will, you silly boy" Hale grinned. A short story of five chapters, where I've had fun describing some of the ways that Hale tortures child abusers, as well as demonstrating the absolute faith Hale's paladins have in their goddess. Not advised for reading immediately after you've eaten unless you have a very strong constitution. Features descriptions of torture. Marked 'mature' for this reason.

Gral and Harald Cooperson were brothers, explorers and wealthy idiots, and when tales of a creepy underground city were brought to their attention, they couldn't resist going to take a peek, reasoning that ghosts didn't exist and that a brief look around surely wouldn't be dangerous... Author's note: this is a short story, comprising three story parts, followed by a history of the aforementioned creepy city. Well, I think it's creepy. My partner thought it was hilarious. How would I categorise this? Possibly a fantasy horror story, with a good helping of cheesy nonsense to lighten the mood a bit. It is based in the fantasy world of the Four Realms, as most of my other stories are, but I believe it possibly could stand alone, except that readers need to know that Hale is a goddess with the attributes of torment and depravity, but who despite her nature is a protector of children and who would do absolutely anything to see children safe and their abusers punished. She is the granddaughter of an evil god named Halos who was destroyed many hundreds of years before this story starts. Her father, Honess, and brother, Hurbek, are also divine and the three share Halos's attributes between them. I don't think it needs to be marked as mature, but I'm happy to be corrected on this by readers. It does contain some swearing, and implied (though not described) cannibalism. Please note that the cover image does not belong to me.

Kelly looked at the piece of meat he'd just picked up. He looked at the platter, still half full of roasted meat, he looked at the faces around him, and a feeling rose within him that he had no idea how to deal with, a feeling of utter bewilderment and confusion. It was as if a thought and an awareness was trying to dawn in his mind, simultaneously as he was trying to deny to himself a sudden, horrifying realisation. "I don't understand," he repeated for the third time. This might have been a lie or might not. Kelly wasn't sure. All he was sure of was his heart thundering loudly. This is the story of Kelly, silver dragon and adoptive son of the god Honess, and how he is supported to learn to live with something that stamps an indelible horror and grief onto his mind and thrusts him into a role no one would ever want. I've written a true introduction in order that it can be enjoyed without prior reading, but you might enjoy the short tales in Dragon Lives about Kelly (there are three of them which all have 'Kelly' in the title). Chapter 18 of the story Immortality describes Kelly's birth. Following the main part of this story will be some detailed epilogues, two of which will also be broken up into chapters. Due to the central theme of this story it is most definitely only suitable for adults, however nothing is described too gratuitously and the more grotesque sections are more talked about rather than overtly described. I did originally mark the story as mature but with hindsight I felt this was unnecessary and so have removed the mature marker. Note that the cover image does not belong to me.

"Let me out! Let me out! This wasn't supposed to happen! I've done nothing wrong!" This is a collection of fourteen short, one-part stories and one slightly longer one, concerning the work of Ulfgar and his peace bringers, of Herpania, and of the Salt Plains prison, and is followed by a timeline. If parts of this collection confuse you, send me a message or write a comment and I'll direct you to the point in one of my other stories which will answer your question. Note that the central theme of many of the stories in this collection is wrongdoing, ranging from petty theft to mass murder and everything in between. Although I don't describe any of the crimes gratuitously, I have labelled the story as mature just in case. The cover image does not belong to me.
